Rock’N Riverfest is Back!
Thu, July 2, 2015 10:27 PM

After a two-year hiatus, the Llano Christmas Lighting Committee is teaming up with Llano County Sting to back the annual Fourth of July event, held on the banks of the Llano River at Badu Park.

This year they are introducing the high-speed sport of jet ski racing - which will be held on Town Lake beginning Saturday, July 4 at 1pm. You do not want to miss the competition as more than 30 riders will take to the river to see who will be crowned first ever winner at the Llano Contest. Racers will hit speeds of up to 100 miles to hour while trying to beat the clock on the 1/8 mile course. Time trials will begin at 11am.

Not a professional racer? No worries - try your hand at the track during the "Run What You Brung" race. Racers must wear an approved helmet and life jacket and have a kill cord on the jet ski. You must also provide proof of insurance.

In addition to the premiere event, there will be some old favorites making a return to the festivities. Beginning at 10am, there will be a Pet Parade at the Pavilion in Badu Park. Come out and judge who has the best costume!

Bring your fishing poles! The Texas Parks and Wildlife will be coming out with the 'Kid Fish' trailer and will be hosting a fishing tournament for kids 18 and under.

At 7pm, music will be provided by Southern Underground. The famous Llano fireworks show will be begin after dark and will be shot up over the Llano River. Southern Underground will resume playing after the show.

There is no cost for admission to any of the events throughout the day. There will be food and beer vendors, bouncy houses, and more available all day long. Coolers will not be allowed before 4pm.
