The 2019 season for the Mason Punchers ended on Friday night as they suffered a 26-0 loss to the powerful Holland Hornets, who will now go on to face Refugio in the next round of the playoffs. Friday night's area playoff game against Weimer down in Dripping Springs began with the Punchers kicking off to the Wildcats. That was immediately followed by a Mason interception by Klay Klaerner, setting the tone for the game that would follow. Mason Elementary and Junior High School students had the privilege of honoring 30 Mason County Veterans on Monday, Nov. 11. The fourth grade students hosted a hot dog lunch for the veterans and their close family members and had the opportunity to visit with them and learn a little about their time in the service.
River of Life Church is hosting its 6th annual Senior Citizen Angel Tree! The last several years, we have enjoyed the great privilege of helping meet the needs of a humble group of precious individuals in our community: our senior citizens. Many senior citizens live on a fixed income which may barely cover necessities such as shelter, medication, and food.
In a Thursday night match in Marble Falls, Mason met up for the Bi-District title match against the Thrall Tigers. The Tigers played a good game of football; but, were unable to stave off a Puncher victory. Early in the first quarter, the Punchers, stymied in their drive, opted to put up Kyle Montoya with a 27 yard field goal attempt.

Eighth graders at MJH participated in their first Blue Ribbon Service Day this past Wednesday! Students spent the day working on projects throughout all three MISD campuses along with many volunteers and staff. What a great day it was learning the value of service to others and having the opportunity to give back to our school-community!
