The 7th & 8th grade Mason Cowgirls track teams competed in the Comfort Ribbon Relays on Friday, March 2, 2017. All of our athletes competed well, and we had some outstanding marks and times from our throwers, jumpers, hurdlers, and relay teams.

Bri Bagwell, Texas Regional Radio’s Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years will headline the 2017 Heart of Texas High School Music Festival. The Peregrino Band from Mason will be opening the festival to be held on April 22, 2017 at Wau-Ban-See Ranch in Camp San Saba. There will be a raffle and silent auction during the performances to raise additional funds for the benefit.

The Punchers participated in the Dry Devil River Wood Bat Tournament in Sonora Texas last weekend.
The Punchers beat TLCA (San Angelo) 16-1 and beat Kerrville Tivy JV 13-3 last Friday. Those two wins afforded them the championship game vs. the home team of Sonora.
The Punchers jumped out early in the top of the first with a 2-0 lead.
Despite a 4-run deficit in the first inning, Mason Cowgirls Varsity almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-4 to Comfort on Thursday. Mason Cowgirls Varsity scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Brittany George, a walk by Kelcey Doss, a walk by Jazlyne Padilla, and a single by Alana Evans.

Last week the Punchers and Cowgirls held their annual Invitational golf tournament at the Comanche Creek Golf Course. What a wonderful week for golf we had. The temperature was perfect for golf.
The Punchers started the week off with a second place finish, three shots behind Fredericksburg. Aaron Reardon-3rd medalist shooting 82, Stran Stultz-4th (84), Kyle Montoya-6th (86), Jorge Lopez (94) and Chase Pawvlik (94).
