Our Mason Cowgirls competed in the Area Track Meet on Tuesday, April 16, in Charlotte. Our cowgirls competed well advancing to Regionals in almost every event that we competed in at the Area Meet. Our girls' team finished in 2nd place overall as a team with 118 points behind San Saba who had 188 points.
We have 13 girls who qualified for the Regional Track & Field Meet.

The Mason High School UIL Academics Team won the 2A Region IV Championship on Saturday, April 13th, in Corpus Christi. This was the Mason’s fourth year in a row to win the contest. In addition, 13 of Mason’s students advanced to compete at the UIL State Tournament later this spring.
The Current Events team, comprised of seniors Zachary Norman and Pablo Lopez and sophomores James Potts and Colby Brown, placed 1st overall in the contest.

It was a windy few days in Corpus Christi during the Region IV tennis tournament last week, but the Punchers and Cowgirls prevailed to win four of the five divisions and will represent Region IV in 14 of the 16 available spots at the State tennis tournament in College Station on May 16-17.

The Mason County Child Welfare Board’s Annual Hamburger Picnic Fundraiser and Community Easter Egg Hunt was a tremendous success again this year! The citizens of Mason County once again came out in full force to show their support for the work the MCCWB does towards raising community-wide awareness regarding child abuse, neglect and prevention.
The Mason County Cancer Benefit would like to present the 2019 fundraiser, Betting on a Cure.
This year’s fundraiser will be held April 27th, 2019 and will include; a fajita dinner, silent auction and a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. The event will be held at the Mason County Community Building.
The fajita dinner, by Santos Restaurant, will be served at 5:30 p.m.
