The River of Life Church Youth Bake Sale is this Saturday, April 20th, from 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon at two locations – in front of Market Square and Lowe’s Market. Please stop by at either location for a variety of delicious, mouth-watering baked items. All items sold by donation only. Mason earned 1st and 2nd in every varsity division qualifying all 16 entries to the Regional Tournament.
Get your hats and gloves ready for the Mason Study Club’s upcoming tea! The Mason Study Club will hold their 2nd annual afternoon tea Sunday, April 28 at 3:00 in the fellowship hall of St Paul Lutheran Church. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from any Study Club member.
The Mason County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce an Artwork Competition for the 55th Annual Roundup Weekend, and invite all artists and enthusiasts to participate at a chance to win! Winners will receive $100.00 dollars and have their artwork honored for the year at the Chamber of Commerce office and website, in addition to being featured on the annual shirts and posters.
The Mason County Republican Women’s 33rd Annual Home Tour will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 10 am to 5 pm. This home tour is a fundraiser which provides two scholarships...one for a college bound and one for a trade school bound graduating senior. Tickets with maps are available at each of the seven home as well as at Market Square located on the west side of Mason’s Square.
This year will mark the 69th year for the Annual Easter Pageant, held at the Amphitheater under Lover’s Leap Hill in Junction. The three-hour long performance is always held Easter Eve, this year to be April 20, at dark-thirty. The Pageant is performed on the hillside with volunteer actors silently portraying the last days in the life of Jesus Christ while readers and sound effects are broadcast through the public address system at the Amphitheater. In March, kids painted shamrocks, read about “not-a-boxes” and learned a little about honeybees.  One week kids created bumble bee puppets they could use to race to find nectar, and another week they constructed cars, fire trucks, a garbage truck, and a building on fire from boxes.  Come hear an Easter story on Monday, April 15.  Storytime is held Mondays at 10:30 a.m.

Micah Walker, County Extension Agent for Mason County has announced the deadline to purchase validation tags for Steers and Heifers going to major shows. Validation tags for sheep/goats or swine for State Fair also need to be ordered. The deadline to order is Tuesday, April 16 and each tag costs $15.00.
