Dorothy Lee Newman passed away on May 22, 2017, in Bell Mead, Texas, at the age of 88. Dorothy was born May 24, 1928, in Clayton, Oklahoma, to Claude Sisco and Ercie Lee Seaton Sisco. One of four children, she was the youngest. On Dec. 3, 1949, she married Charles Jack Newman in Denver City, Texas.
Gaynelle Draper, 84, of Kingsland, passed away June 28, 2017. She was born to William H. and Mary (Floy) Stringer on Dec. 24, 1932 in Big Spring, Texas. Gay worked in the computer field in data entry and was a member of the First Christian Church in Austin. Her hobbies included square dancing, fishing, camping, sewing and being with family. Kristina Jayne Morgan Aust, 48, of Llano, died on June 15, 2017 in Llano. She was born June 30, 1968 in Llano to the late Bobby D. Morgan and surviving Polly Morgan of Llano. Kristina was married to the late Jeff Aust of Llano. Also, surviving are her mother Polly Morgan of Llano; two sons, Bobby Lee Tumlinson of Austin and Carry Blake Otto of Jasper; one grandson, Axel Otto of Houston; two sisters, Lisa Wisdom and Diane Valentine, both of Llano; one brother, Randal D.
Hayley Marie Stone passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 15. She was born April 22, 2002 in Llano, to Brian Stone and Tina Mangum. Hayley lived in Kingsland, and attended Llano High School. She worked as a hostess for Tamale King, and attended Packsaddle Fellowship in Kingsland and Journey Fellowship in Llano.
Jerry Keith Alexander, 82, passed peacefully from this life June 9, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones following a lengthy illness. Robert Scott Sutton passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Llano, Texas at the age of 29. He was born Dec. 27, 1987 in Woodbridge, Virginia to Kevin Sutton and Pamela Isaac. In Hamburg Germany on Oct. 2,1949 a little boy was born. A few years later, after coming to America, Texas to be exact, he was adopted and became Jerrell Dan Sagebiel of Llano County. Jerrell was adopted and raised by Dan Sagebiel of Castell. Growing up, he learned to work at a very young age.
Phil Pelky passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in Llano, at the age of 85. He was born Oct. 14, 1931 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Syble Pelky (Huffman) and Elmer Pelky. Phil joined the Army in 1950 where he fought in the Korean War. He was a Forward Observer and was awarded the Bronze Star. Phil married the love of his life, Arlena, on July 24, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jerrell Dan Sagebiel, passed away at age 67, in Cameron on May 20, 2017. He was born in Germany on Oct. 2, 1949 and came to Llano County at the age of 2 years old, where he was adopted by Hatty and Dan Sagebiel, of Castell and later was joined by his sister Jannelle Sagebiel.
Mary Odessa Dannheim of Mason passed away May 25, 2017 at the age of 99. She was born in Pontotoc, to Bert and Kathryn Durst Holloway on December 16, 1917. She married Gilbert Willard Dannheim on April 8, 1946 in Lampasas. She is survived by her daughter Shauna Crain and husband Randle of Kingsland; Sister-in-law, Wanda Holloway of Llano; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nieces and fou nephews.
