Edwin L. Farris “Eddie,” of Kingsland, passed away Oct. 8, 2017. He was born to Terrell “Wad” and Elsie (Moore) Faris on March 12, 1932 in Llano County.
Eddie proudly served his country in the United States army from October 1953-1961 where he won the welter weight division in the Golden Gloves.
Melba Joyce Herridge, 81, of Meridian, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, in the Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton.
Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Board Branch Cemetery near Llano. Mr. Robert Herridge officiated.
Joyce was born April 26, 1936, in Belton. She was a daughter of the late Archie White and Mary Robinson White.
Karylon Hallmark “Bitsy” Russell passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at the age of 73 in Marble Falls.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at Bluffton Cemetery at 11 a.m.

Angie Ruth Wilson died Sept. 13, 2017, at her home in Llano, Texas. Born Oct. 20, 1934, in Cartersville, Georgia, Angie graduated from Berry School For Girls and went on to work at Lockheed Aircraft Company, later quitting to stay home with her only child. She later returned to work at the IRS in Houston, Texas.
Glenda “Pee Wee” McGlothlin passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at the age of 70. She was born to Laura (Bailey) and Earl B. Goble in Llano on July 19, 1947. PeeWee lived in Llano most of her life and was a member of the Cowboy Church.
She was the proud owner of The Waterin Hole for many years and loved being around her friends.
Hardy Newton Westbrook, 76, was born on Feb. 5, 1941 in Roscoe, to Herman Clark “Chick” Westbrook and Iva Cleone “Coney” Turner Westbrook. Hardy peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sept. 30, 2017 with his family by his side.
Hardy enjoyed the cowboy life and his horses. He worked in the oil field, farmed, and was a mechanic.
Ervin “Buddy” Miller, 83, of Llano, Texas, passed away on Sept. 19, 2017.
Buddy was born in Pierce Junction on Sept. 12, 1934. He was married to Nita Miller on Nov. 19, 1969; they were married 47 years.
Buddy worked as a mechanic for 30 years until he turned his love for cooking into a full time business.
Ronald Edward Duckworth, 72, was born on March 5, 1945 in Levelland, to Houston Byron Duckworth and Ruth Bowman Duckworth. Ron peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 17th at home with his family by his side.
Ron spent his younger years in Sundown, moved back to Levelland, and then to Lubbock to finish his remaining years of school.
Clara Alice Spenkoch, 89, went on to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 in Llano. A private family graveside service for Clara was held at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, with Rocky Underwood and Heritage Funeral Home officiating, along with Mike Gortez and Richard Vandeventer.

Willis “Earl” Edwards Jr. of Llano was born Nov. 28, 1928 on the family farm in Floyd County to Willis Earl Edwards, Sr. and Lola V. Porterfield Edwards. He went to be with the Lord Sept. 15, 2017, at his home due to complications from years of Parkinson’s disease.
