Clytie Marie Hagemann nee Heyen of Llano passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the age of 81 years. Clytie Marie Heyen was born on Sept. 19, 1936 in Llano, to Wilburn G. and Alice Ray Heyen. Clytie Hagemann is survived by three sons: David and Susan Hagemann of Mountain City, Barry and Gail Hagemann of Dripping Springs and Darrell and Cheryl Hagemann of Leander; nine grandchildren: Michael and Katie Hagemann, Heidi Hagemann, Brandt and Jessica Blake, Hunter Hagemann, McKena and Bryan Strobe ...
Mary Dell Wootan passed from this earth, Nov. 2, 2017. She was 89 years old. Mary was born in Llano County, Texas, near Valley Springs on Aug. 1, 1928. Her parents were Nealy and Elzie Wright. Mary had two brothers, Dayton and Carl Wright. All of whom have preceded her in death, along with daughter Linda Cheryl Buchanan and granddaughter Emily Buchanan. Mary spent her childhood in the Hill Country and on June 18, 1947 she married A.C.
Gregory Henderson of Kingsland passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was born August 28, 1955 to Ruby Joyce (Anthony) and Charles Henderson in Houston. Greg is survived by his two sisters Michelle Tuttle and husband Darren of Liberty Hill, Texas and Renee Cripes and husband Neil of Bertram, Texas.
Phyllis (Woods) Plummer died in Llano on Oct. 24, 2017. She was born on Dec. 11, 1925, in Quitaque, Texas, to Myrtle and Emin Woods. The family moved to Liberty Hill in 1929, in a mule-drawn wagon. Phyllis was a Llano resident and businesswoman for 70 years. She worked many years in Pinkie’s Grocery Store.
Frederick Nolan Taylor passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Llano, at the age of 90. He was born May 3, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to Gaither Taylor and Wilma (Martin). Frederick was a resident of Llano since 1969, since coming from San Angelo. He was a member of the Llano Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and worked as a newspaper editor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaither Taylor and Wilma (Martin); and son, Rex.
Julia “LaVerne” Hinkle, 83, of Hoover Valley passed away Oct. 15, 2017. She was born to Grace Wilmont and Edna Opal (Puckett) Blanchard on December 20, 1933 in Winters. LaVerne was very active throughout her young adult life in addition to raising three perfectly spoiled children, she was an Accountant and Federal Administrator for over 35 years.
Frank John Pantano of Tow, Texas, died Oct. 14, 2017 in Colorado of a stroke. He was born on Oct. 30, 1941 to James and Antonina Pantano in Flushing, N.Y. He married Martha Gage on April 19, 1969 and they had two children, Scott and Jim. He was a mechanic most of his work life and then he was a Realtor for several years before he retired.
Bertha Petty, born July 19, 1927, died at her home in Llano, on Oct. 19, 2017. She was born in Airdrie, Scotland, and lived all over the world during her 90 years of life. As a young lady in Scotland, she took vocational training to become a nurse, eventually specializing in tuberculosis.
James Keith Faulkner, 82, of Tow died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at CelesteCare in Llano. Keith was born Dec. 24, 1934 to Ruby and Lester Faulkner in Pear Valley. He grew up in Lohn and enlisted in the U.S. Army, eventually serving in West Germany. Upon returning home, he married Betty Wallin on July 27, 1957 and settled in Lewisville to raise their two children, Lea and Jim. Karylon Ann “Bitsy” Hallmark Russell passed away on Oct. 9, 2017 in Marble Falls. Bitsy was born in Llano on July 30, 1944 to Aubrey and Honerhea Hallmark. Bitsy grew up in Llano and graduated from Llano High School in 1962 then went on to Nixon Clay Business College, the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated from Texas Tech University. “Mrs.
