“Llano is the best kept secret in Texas,” Charles Mills remarked. He was explaining how he and wife B.J. came to be staying in Robinson Park. “We had met friends camping in Arizona. They retired here, and we came to visit them, on the way to Bandera, where we thought we would stay a while.
The Llano Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Michael Aaron Najar, W/M, DOB: 07/07/84.  Najar is wanted for Aggravated Robbery, which occurred on February 3, 2016, at the J&S Foodmart, located at 403 W. Young, in the City of Llano.  If you have any information as to Najar’s whereabouts, please contact the Llano Police Department at (325) 247-3028.
At the Feb 1 meeting of the Llano City Council, the City’s engineering firm, Steger and Bizzell, presented a summary report of their study of the City’s streets and infrastructure. The study, which began in July of 2015, included mapping the existing water lines, manholes, pressure in those lines, as well as the streets and the condition of those.
Llano Police are still searching for the person involved in the attempted robbery of J&S Convenient Store on Hwy 29 in Llano on Wednesday night. The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hoodie and white tennis shoes. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous; he was seen with a nail gun and a pistol.
With a vote of 3-2, the Llano City Council approved terminating City Manager Brenton Lewis.  Prior to terminating Lewis, who has been with the City of Llano since April of 2013, Council consulted with the city’s attorney, Cary Bovey, in closed session for just under an hour regarding the performance evaluation, employment, duties, compensation, and benefits of the City Manager.  The Council and Mayor retreated to the City Manager’s office after first ensuring that there no objecti ...

Here’s the hand dealt by the UIL in football on the first day of February: the Jackets are in Region IV, district 13-4A, Division II, just like last year.
On February 4th the Llano Tea Party will host a Forum for the local races. Expected are Candidates for the offices of Sheriff, Tax Assessor/Collector, Commissioner Precinct 3 and Precinct 410 Chair. Some of the candidates for uncontested offices will also be present. Attendees will have an opportunity to visit with the Candidates beginning at 5:30pm during the meet and greet hour.
What a way to kick off a new year in Llano! The 2016 Llano County Junior Livestock Show was a roaring success. Held for the second year at the “still new” John L Kuykendall Event Center, on a beautiful winter day that allowed the doors to be rolled up, the stock show was as good as it can get.
Despite protests from seven Kingsland residents, the Commissioners Court voted to approve moving the Precinct 3 offices from their current location to the East County Annex, located five miles from where the offices are now located.
