The City of Llano on Monday moved into Stage 2 of its drought contingency plan, and expectations are that things will continue to worsen.
“Based on the river flows, the seven day countdown to Stage 3 will begin in the next couple of days,” City Manager Scott Edmonson said Monday. “Also, based on the current weather pattern and barring a significant rainfall event, the city may move rapidly from Stage 3 to Stage 5, possibly surpassing Stage 4.”

Christian Worship Center of Kingsland donated 20 first aid kits specifically designed for first responders and law enforcement officers to Llano County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning. The kits include equipment designed to help stop or significantly slow down the bleeding when deputies are the first on the scene. Llano Community Theatre premiered its summer children’s program on Saturday night to a full house at the Llano Independent School District Community Room.
The cast, made up mostly of children, there were two adults, was pulled off well by the youngsters, bringing many laughs throughout the 45-minute performance. As the play begins, a club known as The Monster, Ghost, Goblin, Demon, Dragon, Evil-Wizard Hunters Club, begins its meeting, with a run down of past adventures.
