City moves into Stage 2 of drought plan; further restrictions expected

The City of Llano on Monday moved into Stage 2 of its drought contingency plan, and expectations are that things will continue to worsen. “Based on the river flows, the seven day countdown to Stage 3 will begin in the next couple of days,” City Manager Scott Edmonson said Monday. “Also, based on the current weather pattern and barring a significant rainfall event, the city may move rapidly from Stage 3 to Stage 5, possibly surpassing Stage 4.” On Monday the city reported that the ...
