The Lady Eagle 7th and 8th grade girls took on the Lady Warriors from Ingram in basketball action Monday evening.

Our Lady Eagle 7th graders battled from the start with a tough Ingram team that easily defeated them earlier in the season. The game started off a bit rough with our Lady Eagles quickly falling behind.
The newest retailer in Johnson City is “Starrs on Main.” Aptly named, the Starrs store is located on Main Street. The Starr sisters, Melissa Starr Oehler and Sarah Starr Sahs, have owned and operated “Starrs on Mercer” in Dripping Springs since May of 2015. Please join us in celebrating the long running service of Hollis Boatright as Chief Appraiser for Blanco County Appraisal District. Hollis Boatright went to work for Blanco County in 1978, became Chief Appraiser in 1983 and was elected Tax Assessor Collector in 1992.
Johnson City, Texas – Representatives from 10 local nonprofit organizations were awarded more than $40,000 in PEC Community Grant funding at a Dec. 15 reception at PEC’s headquarters in Johnson City. Among those 10 organizations were the Friends of LBJ National Historical Park, which received a $5,000 grant.
The grant will be used to replace area overhead lighting with more energy-efficient fixtures.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Lower Colorado River Authority will lower lakes Austin and LBJ for six weeks beginning Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
The drawdowns will give lakeside property owners an opportunity to repair and maintain docks, retaining walls and other shoreline property. The lake lowerings also aid in curbing the growth of nuisance aquatic vegetation such as hydrilla and Eurasian watermilfoil.
