Blanco County Commissioners went through the agenda in reverse order on Tuesday, March 14 so they could end with an executive session discussing the possible lease of the Old Blanco County Jail. They also discussed renovations to an existing Justice of the Peace facility to function as a South-County annex; dispatch services; and set the date for the county-wide cleanup event.

A dozen individuals were injured as the result of a four-vehicle accident on Friday, March 10. North Blanco County EMS was dispatched with the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department to the scene of the incident South of Johnson City on HWY 281.
Blanco County 911 received reports of a multiple-vehicle accident with injuries, including children injured.

Beginning March 22, Hill Country Memorial Medical Group will welcome an additional provider to its Johnson City Medical Clinic. Byron Hutson, MPAS, PA-C, will begin seeing patients at the clinic on Wednesdays.
“In order to meet our patients’ expectations and the community’s needs, Byron will provide additional support in Johnson City,” said Carrie Culpepper, HCM Medical Group Director.
Hutson will initially see patients with acute illness and injury and those who need more urgent care.
