AUSTIN– Texas has recorded another 175,418 approved Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans since the resumption of the program on Monday, April 27. According to data released today by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Texas total thus far in PPP Round Two has totaled $12,789,880,775. ESD 1 President David O’Bannon called the Regular Meeting of the ESD to order on April 20 at 7 p.m. via conference call. A quorum was established with all members present. Minutes of the March meeting were approved following motion from Vice President Brandt Raeburn and second from Board member Kirk McElhinney; the motion carried.
Judge Brett Bray called the special meeting of the Blanco County Commissioners Court to order at 9 a.m. with commissioners: Tommy Weir, Emil Ray Uecker, Chris Liesmann, and Paul Granberg present. The meeting was streamed via Zoom. Public comments from Kenneth Welch were heard after the pledge. Welch addressed his comments that were not heard at the last meeting explaining that he was in support of the road and bridge grant application and is pleased that the contract was approved.
Marci Henna grew up in Johnson City and keeps up with friends and family here. She and her husband, Louis Henna, understand the challenges faced by Blanco County residents, particularly in current times, with COVID-19. “We care very much about Blanco County, and the donation is a love gift,” Marci Henna said.

By John Verser The county-wide stay at home order and curfew have been rescinded. Blanco County Judge Brett Bray issued an order Monday morning stating the two orders have been rescinded, but also stating that certain previsions of the disaster declaration remain in place. He directed residents to follow the governor’s statewide orders. “This action should not be misinterpreted as an ‘all clear,’” the county judge’s order read.
