A confirmed positive report of rabies has been made for Blanco County. According to Blanco Veterinary Clinic, a fox attacked a family’s dog and the clinic confirmed the case. A post on the clinic’s Facebook page stated the family is “having to take drastic steps with the Texas Department of Health on dealing with the case.” The attack is reported to have occurred west of Blanco. Another year has flown by and Keep Blanco Beautiful was as busy as ever. Earlier in the year, KBB contracted ArborCare and Consulting of the Guadalupe River Valley to help with the restoration of the Byars Live Oak Tree. Work began Feb. 1 and finished up the following week. David Smith called the Blanco Planning and Zoning meeting to order on Monday, Jan. 6 at 6:37 p.m. on the front porch of the Byars Building. Commissioners Chris Anderson, Mike Green, Susan Moore, Loris Perkins, Trey Priour, R. K. Seals and Smith were present for the meeting. The doors of the building were locked, but the seven commissioners met on the porch.
