On Wednesday, April 4th Mason hosted the 27AA Varsity and Junior Varsity tennis tournament at the Helen Tallent Tennis Courts. The Mason High School tennis team had an outstanding showing at the district tournament winning first and second in every division in the varsity tournament and first place in every division in the junior varsity tournament.

Congratulations to The Judge’s Bench for walking the most miles in the Walk Across Texas campaign during week 4! The Judge’s Bench logged a total of 237.46 miles this past week and will hold bragging rights to the Golden Shoe Trophy! The Judge’s Bench team members include Judge Jerry and Dreu Bearden, Mark and Chel Terrell, Dean and Rebecca Burns, and BC and Sheree Hardin.

288 Texas public schools out of the 1,246 that started One Act Play competition made it to Area. After winning Area, Mason is now in the top 24 of its 2A classification. Mason has been at the Region contest for the last seven consecutive years.
Mason HS won the Area contest with rankings of 1,1,2.
Mason County 4H members completed their 2018 Major Livestock Show season in April. In total, Mason County 4H members entered 236 animals at seven major shows. A great livestock show season for Mason County 4H. Below are the results from each show.
