To memorialize the patients under their care this year, HCM Hospice is hosting a candlelight drive-through Celebration of Life on December 11 and 12, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Brune Campus parking lot, 820 Ruben Street in Fredericksburg.
“We at Hill Country Memorial Hospice are honored to have cared for patients and families throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic,” said Randa Kirchner, Hospice Administrator.
Hill Country Memorial recently delivered 83 bicycle helmets to Mason Elementary and Junior High Schools.
The helmets are a gift from HCM as part of their sponsorship support of Ian’s Foundation. Ian’s Foundation was founded in memory of Ian Christopher Fincke, son of HCMMG physician Christopher Fincke, M.D., Gastroenterologist, and wife, Stephanie Fincke, who passed away in 2008 at the age of 16 from a traumatic brain injury sustained during a skateboarding accident.

The FCCLA organization at MHS held a hand sanitizer drive at school to benefit the Mason VFD. 130 bottles of hand sanitizer were collected thanks to the many students, parents and community members that donated. Additionally, Ben Caswell with Shotwell Hydrogenics in Midland contacted the school and donated 214 bottles of hand sanitizer from his company.

The Texas Bar Foundation awarded a grant this month to Bluebonnet CASA. The grant will provide items (ie: clothing, food, school supplies, camps, etc.) for our children that come into care after being removed from their homes by DFPS.

Dixie girl is now living with Second Chance volunteers while she waits for someone to adopt her. During the last week, we’ve been able to get to know Dixie better.

Fredericksburg, Texas - Hill Country Memorial’s (HCM) Give Wellness campaign to renovate its Wellness Center has $428,953 left to raise of its $5,100,000 goal.
