The days are hot, but the Community Thrift Store is cool and the merchandise is always a bargain. We continue to receive loads of donations on the first couple of days each week, and while we continue to require masks while shopping in the Store we are open and seeing many of our favorite customers.
The Pros and Cons of Brush Control
I met recently with a new Mason County ranch owner to discuss his management efforts and his interest in increasing wildlife populations and biodiversity on his property. As we rode around his ranch, he showed me various plants that he had been working to control, and asked me what I thought about them.

Mason is a very friendly dude located right here in Mason Texas! We would guess he is full American Staffordshire Terrier but we are not sure. We are sure he is very sweet and handsome, just look at that face! He is not a huge dog, weighing about 40 pounds, and is about 3 years old.

The Blanco Library is honored to announce that at this month’s Blanco County South Library District board meeting, it was approved to accept a contract for a $33,100 cooperative grant project between the library and the Community English Classes (CEC) Program. This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
