Mason Cowgirls Varsity Overcomes Junction In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning
Junction scored three runs in the third inning, but Mason Cowgirls still won 13-3 on Friday. Junction’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by #12 and #8 and a groundout by #23.
Mason Cowgirls got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Mason Cowgirls.

The Mason County Republican Women’s Home Tour will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 21, in Mason. The home tour is a fundraiser that enables the group to provide scholarships to two graduating seniors from Mason High School each year. Tickets and maps for the event, which showcases historical homes as well as bed-and-breakfasts, are available at Market Square at 114 Moody Street.

The annual spring fundraiser for the Steady Steps pre-school program will be held on April 21,2018 at the park both in the form of a golf tournament and dinner/auction , all at the City park. The Golf will start at 11:30 with a lunch, fol- lowed by pre-registration at noon with tee-off for the 18 hole Golf Scramble at 1:30 p.m.

The Mason Farmers Market will open April 21 and return every Saturday evening, 5 to 7 p.m., until mid-July. A diverse group of vendors this year will offer pasture-raised meats, organic vegetables, artisan breads, Mexican specialties, cosmetics and canned goods at booths ringing the shady area between Mason Burger and Mason County News office on the east side of the Square.
On Wednesday, April 4th Mason hosted the 27AA Varsity and Junior Varsity tennis tournament at the Helen Tallent Tennis Courts. The Mason High School tennis team had an outstanding showing at the district tournament winning first and second in every division in the varsity tournament and first place in every division in the junior varsity tournament.
