Mason Elementary and Junior High School students had the privilege of honoring 30 Mason County Veterans on Monday, Nov. 11.
The fourth grade students hosted a hot dog lunch for the veterans and their close family members and had the opportunity to visit with them and learn a little about their time in the service.
Storytime read-alouds in October were topped off with spooky crafts featuring mummies, masks, skeletons, and pumpkins. Don’t miss Monday, November 25, as we give thanks and celebrate the holiday with a turkey story and craft activity.
Storytime is held Mondays at 10:30 a.m. in the Kid’s Zone of the Mason Co.
Our Seaquist “elves” have been busily preparing for the Seaquist House Foundation’s annual “Christmas at the Seaquist House” event to be held on Saturday, November 30th from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. This open house will follow Mason’s “Light up the Town” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. when the square’s Christmas lights will be turned on.
This will be our sixth annual event, the first one being held in November of 2014 outside in front of the house since we hadn’t purchased it yet.
The Mason ISD Board of Trustees meeting for November 25, 2019 has been changed.
The Board will meet for Special Training, “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse” on November 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm in the Administration Building.
The regular Board Meeting will take place at 6:00 pm immediately following the training.
River of Life Church is hosting its 6th annual Senior Citizen Angel Tree! The last several years, we have enjoyed the great privilege of helping meet the needs of a humble group of precious individuals in our community: our senior citizens.
Many senior citizens live on a fixed income which may barely cover necessities such as shelter, medication, and food.
In a Thursday night match in Marble Falls, Mason met up for the Bi-District title match against the Thrall Tigers. The Tigers played a good game of football; but, were unable to stave off a Puncher victory.
Early in the first quarter, the Punchers, stymied in their drive, opted to put up Kyle Montoya with a 27 yard field goal attempt.
We hope it is to the Peter’s Prairie Schoolhouse for the Annual Community Christmas Party. The party will be held Saturday, December 14th @ 6 PM.
The Association will be serving BBQ (brisket, sausage & chicken), Pinto Beans, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Pickles, Onion, Jalapeños, BBQ Sauce Bread, Coffee & Tea.
If you attend, please bring a Dessert ~~ or dish of choice.
We are requesting Monetary donations to Bluebonnet Casa to purchase Christmas gifts for the children.

Alpha Beta Psi will be hosting its annual Light Up Our Town Saturday, November 30th 4:00 – 6:00 p.m!
Santa and Mrs. Clause will be arriving by fire truck at 4:00 p.m. They will be on the courthouse porch, so parents bring your cameras.
Thank you to the Little Tykes Express of Mason who will be on the courthouse lawn giving train rides and Mason Building Supply for donating the bounce houses.
