First Baptist Church of Mason will be hosting a TRUNK OR TREAT in the parking lot on October 31st from 6-8 p.m. All are welcome!!!
Mason Frontera will have a FREE drive through Flu Event on Thursday, October 22nd from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. They have 100 flu vaccines available! First come, first serve basis for anyone one year of age or older that has had a previous flu vaccine. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the clinic at 325-347-5926.
“Quality instead of quantity" this year at the Mason County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Wild Game Dinner! Please join us Saturday, November 14th to celebrate hunting season with a drive through dinner and ten gun raffle. The drive through will take place outside Fort Mason City Park’s Community Building beginning at 6:00 PM.
St. Paul Lutheran Church is hosting its annual picnic and Jam Service in the Park on Sunday, October 11, from 10:00 – 12:00. Pastor Fred Krebs will conduct the service, with Justin and Heather McFarland leading the music. Bring your picnic lunch, something to drink and a lawn chair or a blanket to spread out on the grass. The Mason County Republican Party and Republican Women will be hosting a Meet the Candidate and Get Out The Vote Rally on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at River of Life Gym 7:00 PM. Social distancing will be observed. Various candidates will be present, including Lani Popp, Republican nominee for State Board of Education.

The American Legion Fort Mason Post #285 will have its regular monthly meeting on Thursday October 8, 2020, at 6:30 PM in the American Legion Hall. Mason’s Scarlet Punchers, those intrepid women “of a certain age,” who absolutely insist on enjoying life to the fullest, have not been well-served in the past two months by this writer, who in turn has been ill-served by her own memory, meaning I’ve missed the Mason County News deadlines for articles about our activities for two months in a row!
The Mason County Republican Party will be hosting August Pfluger, Republican nominee for United Sates House of Representatives, at a town hall meeting Wednesday October 7, 5:00 PM at Art General Store. Voters will have an opportunity to visit individually with Col. Pfluger before the town hall, as well ask questions during the event.
The Llano Fine Arts Guild will be holding a Christmas Bazaar Open House on Tuesday, November 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come and eat and drink while you shop for those one of a kind Christmas gifts. Plus a 10% discount on purchases during the Open House. Also the Gallery will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through December 30th. The Llano Fine Art Guild is located at 503 Bessemer Ave, Llano, Tx. The Llano Fine Art Guild is a 501c3, non-profit organization.
