Duff Cooper of Austin is the lucky winner of this year’s Mason VFW Post Raffle. Mr. Cooper picked up his rifle from Roddy Stockbridge at Parts Plus last week. Thanks to all who bought tickets and helped make our fundraiser a success. The funds raised will help support our Veteran and Community Programs, as well as the scholarships we award to high schoolers headed to college.

Dixie girl is now living with Second Chance volunteers while she waits for someone to adopt her. During the last week, we’ve been able to get to know Dixie better.
On the first day with her foster family, she explored her new surroundings and basked in the sun. On the second day, she tolerated a hose bath, but LOVED being towel dried.
The City of Mason will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 26th and November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holidays.
Trash trucks will run and pick up as scheduled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (November 23, 24, and 25).

The Seaquist House will resume our first Saturday tours this coming Saturday, November 7th from 10 a.m. thru 2 p.m. Groups will be limited to 10 and under and masks are mandatory (we have them available at the door).
Cost for adults is $15 and children 9-12 are $5 and 8 and under are free.
Two members of the Mason FFA Chapter have been recently elected to the Bluebonnet District FFA Officer Team for the 2020-2021 School Year. The election process involves testing, interviews, writing prompts, and speeches. Due to Covid, this year’s elections were conducted this month as opposed to the annual spring elections.
