The Odeon Theater is privileged to present the acclaimed New York soprano, Megan Pachecano, on December 19th. A Texas native, classically-trained Pachecano holds a Master of Music in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music after completing her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from The University of Texas at Austin.
Saturday, November 21, 47 boys harvested 36 whitetail does, 8 spikes, 23 basket bucks, and 4 hogs for a total of 71 animals. The boys from 6 children residential and foster homes along with their guides traveled to 19 area ranches to participate in the Operation Orphans, Inc. "Take a Child Hunting"
The Castell School will host an Old Fashioned Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 1 - 3 p.m.
The Castell School will "Deck the Halls" and provide the refreshments, so please come join in for an afternoon of holiday fellowship and fun. The winning silent bid for the beautiful one-of-a-kind hand made quilt by Vera Honig will be announced as well as raffle ticket winners.

Alpha Beta Psi will be hosting its annual Light Up Our Town this Saturday. Santa will be arriving at 4 p.m. He will be on the north side of the square, so parents bring your cameras. Beginning at 4:30, area youth will entertain with music and dancing. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served by our Mason County Round-Up Queens court.

The Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library is partnering with Howard College to offer a G.E.D. Test preparation class. The class is FREE, and participants may begin now by coming to the library on Tuesday or Thursday nights at 6:00 P.M. There's never a better time than now to take the first step towards a brighter future!
Central Texas Electric Cooperative will be collecting food and toys at each of their four branch locations in Fredericksburg, Kingsland, Llano and Mason until Tuesday, December 15. A free koozie will be given to individuals who bring five items for the drive.
CTEC is also working with the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg in their Toys for Tots program, which collects, wraps and delivers Christmas presents to needy children all over Gillespie County.
Mason ISD is currently accepting nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program. Nominations will be accepted until 3:30 p.m. on November 24th. If you would like to nominate your child for the screening/testing process of the Gifted and Talented Program, please go to the Mason Elementary/Junior High Office for the necessary paperwork.
