Mason High School’s annual induction ceremony for the National Honor Society will be Tuesday, May 3rd at 5:30 in the evening in the Mason High School Auditorium and the public is invited to attend.
To be eligible for membership consideration, students must have a cumulative grade average of 93. Additionally, potential members must meet high standards of leadership, service, and character.
All Hill Country residents and visitors are invited to come and see our “Nature on Display” this weekend at the sixth annual Wings Over the Hills Nature Festival in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg. This naturally wonderful weekend will offer all members of the family an opportunity to learn about our flying critters, but also about wildflowers, snakes, and mammals that we sometimes take for granted.
On March 19th, the Mason County Republican Convention was held at the library. Delegates for the upcoming state convention were nominated and voted upon. Elected to represent Mason County as delegates are: Robert McDonald, Vicki Enrique, Susan Lannoy and Will McCann. Alternates are: Bruce Lehmberg, Kendrah McDonald, Oscar Durham and Jan McCann.
The 2016 Texas Republican Convention will be held in Dallas on May 12th through May 15th.

Their father, Milton Adolph Reichenau was named after his Grandfather Adolph A.
The Mason County Child Welfare Board’s Annual Hamburger Picnic Fundraiser and Community Easter Egg Hunt was a smashing success again this year! The citizens of Mason County once again came out in full force to show their support for the work the MCCWB does towards raising community-wide awareness regarding child abuse, neglect and prevention.
