For over 300 years, the Alamo has been a crossroads for Texas history. From its early days as a Spanish mission to the 1836 battle that enshrined it in the hearts of Texas, the Alamo is a place like no other. At 6:00 p.m. on November 5, 20015, Pamela Jary Rosser, the first onsite conservator at the Alamo, will speak at the annual Friends of the Library meeting.
Mason ISD is proud that we will be able to offer our traditional Thanksgiving lunch this year. Due to production problems in the turkey industry, many school districts will not be able to have a traditional Thanksgiving lunch. Be our Guest! The fourth grade faculty and students at Mason Elementary would consider it a great pleasure if all of our Mason County veterans would join us for a luncheon on Wednesday, November 11th at the Mason Elementary Library immediately following the Veteran's Day Service on the courthouse lawn. Please come and let us thank you in person for your extraordinary service to our country!
Our annual Hunters' & Visitors' Guide is in this edition of the News. For me, this is the 16th time I've put together one of the supplements, and I hope you enjoy what we've done. Of course, if the Guide is in the paper, that can only mean one thing -- the general season begins on Saturday.
