CANYON LAKE HIGH—Grayson Freeman diagrammed a challenging route to Kingsville: Run three-and-a-quarter miles—the quarter came in the 4x400 relay—and do it quickly. He turned one of those miles into a championship at the Area Track & Field Meet, April 23. His next stop is near the King Ranch, May 1-2, for the Region IV Meet.

LIBERTY HILL—Grayson Freeman had some 20 hours to think about the loss in the 3200 meters to the "cannot shake this guy" Drew Kiser of Burnet. He now has a lifetime to think about beating him in the 1600 the following day.
