The Llano Jr. High Daubers once again had mixed results as they played their second district games of the season against the always tough Wimberley Texans.
The Llano 7th Graders hosted the Texans and came home with the clean sweep as the 7th Grade B team dominated from start to finish as they claimed the 36-6 victory while the 7th Grade A team Daubers had to come from behind in the 4th quarter to sneak by the Texans 8-6 and remain undefeated on the season.
The Llano Youth Football and Cheer teams played their playoff games this past Saturday at Jacket Stadium with split results.

LAMPASAS—Anna Casey was superb, finishing second in her first district race, October 13. She’s old enough to run, but not old enough to drive.
Casey led the Lady Jackets to a runner-up berth in 194A by the slightest of margins to Liberty Hill, so Llano’s team heads to the Region III Meet, October 23 in Huntsville.
Those are the leads, okay?
LAMPASAS—Nic George and Andy Wright have raced themselves into contention along roads, trails, golf courses, and beaten paths from Bandera to Mason to Fredericksburg this cross country season, and they were among the best in the biggest meet—so far—on the Badgers’ campus.
George was second and Wright, third, in the 19-4A district competition, on Friday the 13th.
The Llano cross country teams did well in Lampasas in two meets, October 6 and 13, and then, without having to leave home, October 10, the Jacket volleyball team swept the Badgers.
“Fun to win,” said Skye Sanderson, “fun to get confidence in yourself,” and fun to beat a team which had beaten you.
Lampasas did have a 10-6 lead in the opening game, but Llano responded with an 11-3 run.
GERONIMO—It was akin to a championship boxing match—not one on one, but 11 on 11, nose to nose on the front lines. Body blows by bodies in armor instead of competitors trading Everlastwrapped fists. The challenger’s repeated defensive stances made this admirable contest of mind, spirit, strength, and conviction close on all cards for more than three-quarters of the struggle.
The champion, like in the movies, wanted no rematch with the underdog.
On this gridiron near Seguin, unbeaten ...
The Llano Sub-Varsity teams tangled with the Navarro Panthers this past Thursday with both teams coming out victorious in their first district games of the season.
The Llano Freshmen traveled to Navarro and overcame some early defensive struggles that found them behind in the first half to claim a hard fought 34-28 victory.
Llano Christian Academy’s cross country team got off to a late start this year due to the school’s move into its new building. The season started with a meet in Goldthwaite on Oct.
