Nic George gets the free ride, because he was second and Andy Wright was third in Lampasas. With finishes like that, both deserve a lift.

LAMPASAS—Nic George and Andy Wright have raced themselves into contention along roads, trails, golf courses, and beaten paths from Bandera to Mason to Fredericksburg this cross country season, and they were among the best in the biggest meet—so far—on the Badgers’ campus. George was second and Wright, third, in the 19-4A district competition, on Friday the 13th.
