I’d like to go over tomato growing tips and other interesting information. Let's start with size, cherry, grape, pear, and current. There are those little small pop in your mouth delicious intense flavor tomatoes. Their skin to seed ration is high as they lack a large amount of pulp. Next is the salad or two bite tomato.
Dear Editor,
Regarding the front page article of our Rep. Conaway being at the Llano town hall meeting. He starts out telling how well the nation is doing with the Trump changes-improvements. He moves on to his role as chairman of House Agriculture Committee and the importance of the Farm Bill.
There are some times where you can’t say certain things enough. So we say, thank you, thank you, thank you, and hope it can be enough.
Our county and its communities are more fortunate than we realize on a daily basis to have the number of brave men and women protecting it in various capacities, and the fires last week that ravaged portions of Llano County and beyond showed how truly fortunate we are.
Dear Editor,
I wonder when exactly it was, or was it so gradual that we just did not notice, when our judicial system became so jaded?
We have watched in disbelief and quiet fear the unfolding of evidence that clearly indicates manipulation of the system at the highest levels in our government.
Dear Editor,
How distinct were the words we all heard when the candidate promised,” if you elect me, I will clear the swamp that is in Washington, D.C..” You will have more transparency than you ever thought possible.
Well, it would seem that the transparent glass is now getting a little fogged up!
Dear Editor,
A never mentioned part of illegal immigration is that nations south of our border all sell protein human foods to the USA.
A USDA import meat chart; 1-1-18 to 6-16-18 equals 5.5 months, Mexico imported 102,183 metric tons (2204 lbs.). I doubled the numbers for 1 year equals 204,366 metric tons equals 450,422,664 lbs.

Dear Editor,
Last week, a friend emailed me a letter someone sent to her. It falsely purported to be written by Jack Minzey, author and respected educator from Eastern Michigan University. It was designed to foment a new civil war between members of our two major political parties. Have you seen it?
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my fear of Congress cutting Social Security benefits. Taxpayers fund Social Security with every paycheck. That money goes into Social Security’s trust fund. There is a $2.9 trillion surplus today. Social Security is financially sound and very efficiently administered.
By law, Social Security benefits are not a part of the federal budget, but Congress still tries to cut Social Security spending by making it hard for people to get their benefits.

Dear Editor,
For whatever reason that city council came to this latest decision of rethinking the enormous utility bills that have inundated the residents of Llano within these first few months of 2018, let me applaud them for doing so. It is definitely a breath of fresh air to my restricted pocketbook and lifestyle.
Thank you again.
