David Roger Van Bramer, age 74, passed away after a lengthy illness on January 27, 2015, in Llano. He was born June 10, 1940 in Wink to Ercell and Roger Van Bramer and attended school in Jal, New Mexico. David worked and conducted business in Odessa and Midland for many years.
1991-2014
Kegan Lee Schmidt of Llano and Mason, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, at the age of 23. A Memorial Service celebrating Kegan's life was held on Tuesday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Survivors include his parents Sid Schmidt of Mason and Kalyn Kothmann of Llano; a brother Kaleb Schmidt and fiancé Emily of Tempe, Arizona; his grandmother Mary Schmidt, of Mason and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
James (Jim) Preston Barton, 84, of Kingsland, Texas passed away January 5, 2015. He was born to Wilson and Alta Marie (Watson) Barton on June 8, 1930 in Shady Grove, Texas. Jim married Billie Jo Box on January 21, 1950 in Burnet, Texas. He loved to garden, hunt, fish, and BBQ.
1930-2014
Joan Shelton, age 84 of Kingsland, Texas passed away on January 8, 2015 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on March 27, 1930 to Lyle Harris and Nell (Arendell) Harris in Austin, Texas. Joan had been a resident of Kingsland since 2001, having moved here from Aurora, Colorado where she resided for 36 years. She married Glenn Harold Shelton on May 29, 1948 in San Marcos, Texas.
Adalene Olga Amanda (Tischler) Tomlinson, age 76, of Llano (formerly of Coleman, and Priddy), passed away, Tuesday, January 6, after a lengthy illness. Adalene was born to Monroe W. and Annie (Rackow) Tischler on March 31, 1938 in Hamilton, Texas. She was the eldest of their 10 children. She attended high school in Midland-Odessa area and Winters.
Edward Michael "Mickey" Long, 72, of Odessa passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his home. He was born December 29, 1942 in Orange, California to James and Ruby Long. He retired from OFM Pump, Inc. as a machinist. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Nell Kelley Long on July 24, 2014.
Daisy Belle Speed Becker departed her home on earth, to ascend to heaven to join her heavenly Father and those who have passed before her, on December 30, 2014 in Kingsland, Texas. Daisy was born October 13, 1914 in Clinton, Texas to John and Annie (Palmer) Speed. After graduation from Goliad High School, on June 12, 1933 she married Rufus E.
1976-2015
Matthew Tyler Aten was born August 27, 1976 in Cleburne, Texas and passed away November 11, 2015 in Meadowlakes, Texas. He grew up in Kingsland and Llano, and graduated from Llano High School in 1995. While there, he was a member of the National Honor Society, played basketball, ran cross country, played drums in the Yellow Jacket Band, and was the first male cheerleader at LHS.
Grace Lorraine Wood Tait, 87, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away October 17, 2014. Grace was born September 19, 1927 in Dickson City, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1945 and married John Tait in Scranton on September 20, 1947. As newlyweds, John and Grace moved to New York State and lived in Vestal for 35 years while John worked as a Senior Engineer at IBM.
Patsy Maxine Ochsner of Midland, Texas passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 76. She was born to Beulah (Earl) and Robert Akin on February 19, 1938, in Southmayd, Texas. Patsy graduated valedictorian from Seagoville High School in 1956 where she was an All-State and All-Star basketball star.
