Marion Alene Golden, 90, of Kingsland, Texas passed away August 16, 2015. She was born to Alvin Ira and Oma Bell (Cave) Mosley on January 10, 1925 in Garrett, Texas. Marion loved to fish, sew, and sing in the choir at church. She took great pride in sewing clothes for her daughters and made all their prom dresses.
Marvin Darrel Thurman, born in Austin Texas on May 19, 1937 to Truman Darrel Thurman and Ethel Leola Thurman (Hudson) passed away on August 22, 2015 after a long fight with illness. Darrel was a native Bee Cave, Texas resident and was an avid supporter of the rodeo community and a lifelong rancher and cowboy who was loved by many. Darrel is preceded in death by his mother and father.
Morris William Sherry passed away on August 23, 2015. He was born on August 31, 1925 to Allie and Maggie Sherry in Gonzalez, Texas. He served in the military from March 14, 1945 until he was discharged as a Private First Class (PFC) on October 17, 1946. He married Virginia Merle Buchanan in Georgetown, Texas on October 14, 1949.
1935-2015
Ellis Earl Stacey, 80, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on August 11, 2015. He was born to John and Velma Stacey on April 29, 1935 in Perdue Hills, Alabama. Mr. Stacey proudly served in the United States Army in the early 50’s. Ellis was a floor tile installer for many years and had his own business in the Kingsland, Texas area.
In April, 1923, Mary Emily was born to Jerome and Mignon Jacoby in Yonkers, New York. The granddaughter of Ellis Island immigrants, she grew up an only child and lived into adulthood among a very large extended family in Yonkers. She attended and graduated from New York University during the war years, and became a military wife.

Millie Pair, 91 of San Angelo, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 8, 2015. She was born on February 10, 1924 in Donna, Texas to William and Cassa Hazelett. Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2015 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scooter McCurdy of Lakeview Bible Church officiating.
Roberta Reagor Strayhorn was born on July 17, 1923 to John and Mattie Reagor in Pontotoc, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Roy; son-in-law Buzz Costner; brothers and wives Frank and Blanche, Damon and Irene, and Cliff and Ada, and sisters and husbands, Eva and Erford Norris and Ima and Lube Talley. Patricia Ann Brewer, 62, of Weatherford, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015. She had been a resident of Weatherford for 10 years having moved there from Anaheim, California. Ruth Nason Goodson passed away Thursday July 9, 2015 at the young age of 92. She was born May 9, 1923 to Winford and Maggie Nason in Starksville, Mississippi. She moved to Llano in 1985 after the death of her husband Charlie J. Goodson to be close to her stepson Kyle and wife Carolyn Goodson. Ruth was an avid quilter making beautiful handmade baby quilts and quilts of all sizes.
