Haskell Dean Sexton, 77, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on April 7, 2015. He was born to Carl and Mamie B. (McKinny) Sexton on January 22, 1938 in Hintown, Arkansas. Mr. Sexton proudly served his country in the United States Army during the 60s. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade.
1927-2015
Virginia Ball, 88, of Tow, Texas died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015. She was the daughter of Alva and Bessie Ellington of Jackson, Tennessee. Virginia was a devoted wife to Rufus Harvey Ball and mother to son Harold Glen Ball and daughter Patricia Ann Luce. She will be dearly missed by them as well as daughter-in-law, Diana Ball and son-in-law Daniel Luce.
Geneva Mosier Merriman-What a precious lady. Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2015 at age 85. Although she lost her long and courageous battle with cancer she entered into eternal rest with dignity and grace. Geneva was born to Alice and Luther Mosier on December 3, 1929 in Brazos, Texas, and spent most of her childhood farming with her family in Texas, picking cotton.
Charles Earl Koontz, 85, a resident of Horseshoe Bay for 21 years, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 in Amarillo, Texas. Charles was a longtime leader and early pioneer in the cattle feeding industry. The family resided in several states including Texas, New Mexico, Hawaii, California and Arizona. Charles was born in Prescott, Arizona on February 18, 1930, the son of a cowboy father and a school teacher mother.
1919-2015
Joyce Irene Clark, 95, passed away peacefully and joined our Lord on March 30, 2015. She was born on September 13, 1919 to Richard and Mamie Butts in Coryell County, Texas. She was the seventh of 10 children. She grew up on a farm-ranch and graduated from high school in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Donald Newton Banks, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Llano, Texas. He was born August 12, 1928 to Albert George and Altha (Faris) Banks in Llano, Texas. He was the sixth of seven children and was raised in the Babyhead – Llano area. Donald had been a resident of Burnet since 1982 after his retirement from the U.S.
Eleanor Miller, a resident at Windchime at the Village in Kingsland, died peacefully at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital, Burnet, Texas on February 14, 2015. She was 95 years old. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carter Miller, in 1993 and her granddaughter, Rachel Taecker. Eleanor was born September 15, 1919 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Robert Lloyd Watson, 63, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on March 6, 2015. He was born on January 14, 1952 in Houston, Texas, the son of William P. and Velda Faye (Hegge) Watson. He was known to his friends as "Chase" or "Bob". Robert joined the Houston Police Academy on January 22, 1973.
J. D. Bray died on March 6, 2015 in Georgetown, Texas. J. D. Bray was born in a covered wagon, near a creek bed, in Girard, in Kent County, Texas to Jim C. Bray and Bessie Jennings Bray. J. D. attended school in Post and in Tahoka. He finished the ninth grade, did not return for 10th and 11th.
Ruth Marie Weathers, 98, of Kingsland passed away March 5, 2015. She was a daughter of Edward George and Helen (Haase) Thompson born on June 14, 1916 (Flag Day) in Mart, Texas. She was the eldest of seven children. Ruth could light up a room just by entering into it. She thanked God for every day and began each day with a song.
