Alma Kathleen McCue led a full and wonderful life and died peacefully at home at age 93. She will be hugely missed by her daughters Kathleen McCue, Marjorie Masterson and Deborah Hussemann, her grandsons, David Seal and Tyler Hussemann, and by sons-in-law Dennis Masterson and Rick Hussemann. Alma was the quintessential Navy wife, following her husband Capt.
Mrs. Nora Estelle Langehennig passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the age of 95. Nora is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dawn Langehennig and two grandchildren, Lauren and Wyatt Langehennig. Funeral services for Nora Langehennig were held 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Ward officiating. Christine (Wills) Sawyer passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Blanco, Texas at the age of 87. She was born January 18, 1929 in Llano County, Texas to Nancy (Brannon) and Waymon Wills. She married Joe Neal Sawyer February 18, 1948 in Llano, Texas. Christine was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Joe Neal Sawyer of Blanco, Texas and son, William Gary Sawyer of Cherokee, Texas. Christine is preceded in death by her parents, son Joe H.
Steven Delane Boultinghouse, 70, of Oak Hill (SW Austin), passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Lunch/visitation was held at Cherokee Church of Christ in Cherokee, Texas from 11:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Cherokee Cemetery in Cherokee, with Doug Suggs officiating. Steve was born on January 19, 1946 to Lolan and Mozelle (Moore) Boultinghouse in San Saba, Texas.
Effie “Gail” Johnson, 79, of Llano, Texas died Tuesday June 7 from injuries sustained in a bicycling accident while vacationing with friends on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Gail was born Feb. 10, 1937 in Llano to Thomas and Jewel Gregory. She graduated from Llano High School and Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, where she met and married Don Ross “Dugan” Johnson in 1955.
Arthur J. Carl, 48, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on June 5, 2016. He was born to Peet and Violet (Halliburton) Carl on April 8, 1968 in Llano, Texas. Arthur was an HVAC contractor by trade and was a hard worker. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, swimming and camping and going to movies.
Dorothy Inez Reeves passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2015 in Brady, Texas at the age of 83. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 with visitation prior to the service from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Interment followed the service at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. Dorothy was born on June 18, 1932 in Llano, Texas to Calvin and Nora (Bradshaw) Ratliff.
Marian Coppin passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 82. She was born October 16, 1933 in Camden, South Carolina to Marguerite (Pierce) and John Thomas Littlejohn, Jr. She married Gene Coppin July 9, 1953 in LaFeria, Texas. She was a resident of Round Rock, Texas for 24 years before moving to Llano, Texas where she lived for the past seven years.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the Llano City Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Reverend Sid McMahon officiating. Sonora Laurie Lawley was born February 14, 1963 and passed away on June 2, 2016. She is preceded in death by Harold Von“Red” Lawley and Mary Ruth Howard. Laurie is survived by her brothers Harold Lawley Jr and John Branam and her sisters Robin McBride and Melanie Gorsuch.
On May 28, 2016 this earth lost an angel and heaven gained one. Petrus “Pete” Bolkenstyn was born February 8, 1935 to Johannes Bolkenstyn and Gertrud Kurten Bolkenstyn in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Being a young holocaust survivor he recalled later he and his friends pulling nails from the many bridges which connected Amsterdam so the Nazis crossing by horse would fall into the canals.
