Marjorie Ann (Dalchau) Hutto passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 86. She was born Feb. 27, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas to Mabel (Barr) and M.C. Dalchau. She was a lifetime resident of Llano, Texas and was married to Mac Hutto before his passing in June, 2014. Ann was in the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the Jr.
Jenica Leigh Barnard, 22 of Victoria, entered in to glory following a car accident on Sept. 9, 2016 in Fredericksburg, and is now at rest in the arms of Jesus Christ, her Savior and King. She is survived by her husband, Brandt Barnard, her parents, David and Pamela Edge of Victoria, her siblings, Megan and Matthew Edge of Victoria, and in-laws, Patrick and Sharon Barnard of Victoria.
Georgia Susan Searcy, age 67, of Buchanan Lake Village in Tow, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016. Susan was born on Aug. 22, 1949 in Greenville, Texas to Bonnie (Vaughan) Woodell and Wilburn Ussery. She is preceded in death by her father Wilburn Ussery; grandmothers, Ada Mae Becknell (maternal) and Bertha Woerster (paternal). Susan was a 1967 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas and attended Southwest Texas.
William Jackson (W.J.) Rogers passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 75. W.J. was born February 25, 1941 in Llano, Texas to Odessa Lee (Elliott) Moore and Jack Stein Rogers. He married Mary Cathren Prewitt on Oct. 25, 1958 in Llano, Texas. W.J. was a member of the Llano Church of Christ; had been a part of the Llano VFD, served on the city council, coached youth softball and was a boy scout leader.
Ruth Jean Peace Rider of Llano, Texas passed away on Sept. 12, 2016 in Marble Falls, at the age of 80. Ruth was proud to be born the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (McKiddy) Peace, in the Appalachian Mountains of southeastern Kentucky; her family later moved to Covington, Ky. At the age of 21, she married Jerry Rider, and the couple went on to have two daughters, Linda Peacerider, and Patricia Rider Perkins.
God graced this world with Slayton Scott Seward on Nov. 14, 1988 in Fredericksburg. His Lord and Savior welcomed him home on Sept. 8, 2016 from Copperas Cove. Slayton lived the first 12 years of his life in Llano before moving to Copperas Cove in 2001. Slayton was known to all who loved him for his intelligence and his passion for politics.
Larry Reven passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Kingsland, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on October 11, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas to Stella Lee (Stephens) and Clinton Townsend Reven. Larry married Betty DeVore on September 9, 1966 in Lamesa, Texas. He worked in construction and was a member of the Kingsland Community Church.
Walter J Ligon, “Sunny” or “Walt”, died on August 16, 2016 at the Poppen House located in Muskegon, Michigan, a hospice run by Harbor House. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Gilbert) Ligon, “Betty,” in October of 2011. Married more than 50 years, Walt and Betty had a rich retirement beginning in 1982.
John Duke Leamons, 84, of Tow Village passed away on Sept. 4th at home surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Tow Baptist Church. The eldest of Walter and Ethel Leamons’ seven children, John was born on December 3, 1931 in Grapeland, Texas.
Bernice Rhea Shearer of Kingsland, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the age of 67. She was born December 27, 1948 to Rheba and Allen Bryant in Lindsey, California. She married Joe Shearer August 1, 1968 in Gruver, Texas. Rhea and Joe moved back to Kingsland some 28 years ago.
