Nancy Renna Brenderfur was born December 12, 1947 in Ventor, California and went to be with our Lord on May 31, 2016. She lived in Llano since 1980. She is preceded in death by her father and stepmother R.L. and Evelyn Rains; her mother Mildred Powell two brothers Ronnie Roberts and Roy Rains; sister Nannette Berryhill and husband Dean; son-in-law Bobby Wisdom, and one great granddaughter Serenity Wisdom She is survived by her daughters Tina Wisdom, Suzie Wisdom and husband Buster, and Kimberly ...
Lila Faye Johnson passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016 at her home in Llano, Texas. She was 91 years old. Lila was born August 18, 1924, at home in Birthwright, Texas. She grew up in Peerless, Texas where her father, Floyd Milligan, ran a cotton gin. Her mother, Mildred (Gardener) Milligan passed away when she was 12, so her grandparents Sam and Sally Milligan helped raise her. Lila was baptized Church of Christ as a child.
William R. Shipp Jr (Bill) passed away peacefully in his beloved town of Llano on June 6. He was 87. Bill was born on December 6, 1928 in Hamilton, Texas; the only child of Julia Christianson Shipp and William R. Shipp. He grew up in Priddy, Texas, where he excelled in sports- particularly basketball, tennis, and baseball.
John Irving Landon passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 89. He was born January 12, 1927 in Menard, Texas to Frankie Eugenia (Poole) and John Newmarch Landon. After graduation from Menard High School at age 16, John enrolled into the University of Texas at Austin where he was a proud member of the Showband of the Southwest playing the trumpet, a passion he continued throughout his life.
John Larry Johanson passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Temple, Texas at the age of 67. He was born July 30, 1948 in San Saba, Texas to Selma (Campbell) and Wayne Johanson. John was in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Vietnam, Germany and Fort Hood. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Llano as well as a member of the VFW American Legion in Llano and Kingsland. Rebecca Pauline McDade was born on August 16, 1918 to Alfred Thomas Shedd and Nancy Burnes Shedd on the family farm near Gatesville, Texas. She passed away peacefully at home in Buchanan Dam, Texas May 3, 2016. She was the next to the youngest in a family of 12 children.
Betty Jane Scherer Fest of Sunrise Beach Village passed away on May 2, 2016 at the age of 93. She was born to Revillo Macy Scherer and Florence Elizabeth Whall on June 24, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas. Betty married Frederick Francis Fest on November 9, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas.
Linda Carol (Reed) Trotter passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 70. She was born September 14, 1945 in Llano, Texas to Wilma Joyce (Henry) and Townsend Elmo Reed. She married Joe Trotter December 26, 1980 in Parker County, Texas. Linda lived in Llano most of her life and graduated from Llano High School in 1964.
James Leonard Thiers was born in Junction, Texas to Thelma Kathryn Walton Thiers and Alfred Matt Thiers on December 8, 1933. He moved to Llano as a small child and attended school here. He was a graduate of Llano High School in 1950. James attended Texas A&M University where he played in the military marching band.
Eva LaVern Gamel Eva LaVern Gamel was born March 17, 1930, in Salt Gap, Texas. She went to be with Jesus on April 19, 2016. She married Irvin Carl “Buddy” Gamel on February 19, 1947, in Brady, Texas. LaVern enjoyed singing solos and in the choir at her church, Crystal Lake Baptist Church in Leander, Texas.
