Clara S. Wittig was called home to be with our Lord on October 25, 2016 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 91. She was born in Llano, Texas on June 22, 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Chester A. Wittig; parents, Rudolph and Lydia Schoerlemmer; sisters, Emilie Schoerlemmer, Emma Marie Schoerlemmer and Esther Schoerlemmer; brother, Reynold Schoerlemmer and daughter, Kathryn Williams.
Gloria Pauline Garrett, 82, passed away peacefully with family members around her on Tuesday, October 19, 2016 after a battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Gloria was born on September 12, 1934 in Lasara, Texas to Paul Walter Blaskowsky and Melba Irene Caldwell Blaskowsky. On June 27, 1951 she married Bernard Gerald Garrett in Raymondville, Texas. This union was blessed with four children.
Nell Liberda entered life on April 28, 1931. She was born in Lone Grove and grew up in Llano during her youth with her family. Her father was a judge and the postmaster general as well as the superintendent in Llano. Her mother was a teacher. Nell’s spirit is carried on by her one daughter, two grandsons, granddaughter-in-law and great granddaughter. We were blessed to learn so many life lessons from her over the years.
Fowler Graham Brown, 67, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2016 after a four-year battle with cancer. He was born March 9, 1949 to Ann and Lonnie Brown in Norman, Oklahoma. On February 14, 1989 he married Janet Kinkead in Austin, Texas. Survivors include his wife Janet; his daughter, Veronica Kuykendall and son-in-law Jeff of Llano, Texas; four grandchildren, Case, Carson, Sydney and Harper of Llano, Texas; brother, Wes Brown and wife Emmy of McAlester, Oklahoma; brother Monte Brown and wif ...
Heather McCon Rodriguez was born on April 1, 1974 she passed away Oct. 12, 2016. Heather was born in Niles Michigan to Darold McCon and Paula Hamilton McCon. She grew up most of her life in Granite Shoals. Heather met the love of her life, Jody Rodriguez in high school and they later married in March of 2000.
Anna Belle Wasserman Shipp, passed away peacefully, in Llano, on October 1, 2016. She was 87. She was born at home in Mills County at the family ranch of her parents, Willie and Jessie Wasserman. Her father was the school teacher at Pompey Mountain, and she started school at the age of 5.
Jimmy Lee “Peanut” Ervin passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 49. He was born June 1, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lula Mae (Clemens) and Jimmy Lee Ward. Peanut was a Methodist and a lifetime resident of Llano, Texas. He loved to fish and just hang out. Diana Goter Ball, 92 of Llano passed away Saturday Oct. 1, 2016. Diana was born April 3, 1924 in Woodworth, North Dakota to Ernst and Elsie Reiman Goter. After high school, she went to Chicago and worked at Montgomery Ward and then the Walther League, In September, 1948, she moved to San Antonio and worked at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce as financial secretary until 1958.
Linda Lou Tomlinson passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 in Llano, Texas at the age of 71. She was born Aug. 24, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas to Corinne (Fry) and James Robbins. She married George Tomlinson Dec. 22, 1962 in Eden, Texas. Linda moved to Llano from Johnson City, Texas in 2002. She is survived by husband George Tomlinson of Llano, Texas; son Jim Bob Tomlinson and wife Shay of Burnet, Texas; daughters Tammy Burney and husband John Jr., CSM (Retired) U.S.
Mrs. Dolores G. “Dodie” Hill, age 83 of Kerrville, Texas passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 in Kerrville Care Center. She was born on April 2, 1933 in Llano, Texas to Luther Jacob West and Nora Reeves West. She married Gordon Finley “Don” Hill on July 16, 1949 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Dodie was a retired teller for Wells Fargo Bank. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
