Ronald “Ron” Wayne Furber passed away on March 26, 2021 at the age of 78 inside his home in Henderson, Nevada. His battle with cancer showed his strength and determination. He did not give up but unfortunately this was a fight he could not win. Despite his loss in the battle with cancer, he remains a hero to so many.
James M. Mayfield of Johnson City, TX passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Temple, TX. James was born January 11, 1931 in Tonkawa, OK to Roosevelt and Ruth (Thomas) Mayfield. Mr. Mayfield retired from the U.S. Navy as an E-8, Sr. Chief Petty Officer specializing in antisubmarine warfare, after 27 years of honorable service to our country.
John Thomas Watson of Hye, Texas passed away March 23, 2021, at the age of 93.  He was born in Hye to James Phillip Watson and Edna Pearl Brown Watson. On July 27, 1945 he married Dora Dell Summy in San Antonio, Texas, they were married 75 years until her death in 2020. Thomas is survived by three daughters, Edna Whisenant of Marble Falls, Barbara Bryant and husband Jim Bob of Austin, Deborah Gibson and husband Roger of Granite Shoals; brother James Porter and wife Juneth Watson of Hye.
Johnny Raymond Martin passed away in his home March 20, 2021. Johnny was born February 26, 1954 to John Ray Martin and Mildred Robinson Martin in McAllen, Texas. He left behind sons, Jason Martin, Terrence Martin, and daughter, Shelby Martin; stepdaughter, Michelle Twa; granddaughters, Harper and Hope Martin, Lyssa Dorsey and Kaylee Blaylock; two sisters, Melinda Perez and Pam Martin-Harper.  He graduated from Mission High School.
Woodie Steve Ratliff left this world for his heavenly resting place, at the age of 74, on March 15, 2021. Steve was born on August 18, 1946 to Woodrow and Gladys Ratliff in San Saba Texas. Steve grew up in Goldthwaite Texas and graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1965. He attended Durham Business College. Steve married the love of his life, Judy Polk, on October 30, 1965.
Frankie Carline Odell, 70, passed away March 9, 2021 in Johnson City, TX. Frankie was born in San Saba, TX September 23, 1950 to Frank Arnold Marler and Dora Dean Marler and was a long-time resident of Johnson City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dora Marler, and sister, Julia Gibson. Frankie is survived by two sons, James Arnold Odell and Robert Brian Odell, one daughter, Angela Sisson and husband Terry Sisson, brother, Roy Marler and wife Jeanie Marler.
Elnora Alma Kneese passed away March 19, 2021 in Marble Falls, Texas at the age of 99. She was born to Arthur Rynold Neumann and Olga Lydia Birck Neumann, September 18, 1921, 5 miles east of Cypress Mill, Texas in her family home. Her siblings were Olivia Bertha Lange and Hilda Matilda Smith.  Proceeding her passing she was married to Alton Oscar Kneese for 47 years.  She is survived by her devoted daughter Loretta Joy Cook and Vernon G Cook (deceased).
Mary Ethel Sparkman Weirich, 74 of Johnson City went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 20, 2021. She passed away peacefully with husband and daughter by her side. She was born to the late Sidney & Voyle Sparkman on February 13, 1947, in Beeville, Texas. Mary graduated from George West High School and received a Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University. Alice D. Pyle died as she lived, with her devoted husband holding her hand and daughters worshiping our Lord to carry her home on the morning of Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home in Johnson City, Texas. Alice was born November 28, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Santos DeLeon and Martha LaPlata DeLeon.
Joseph Calvin Blake, 79, passed away peacefully at LBJ Medical Center in Johnson City, Texas on Monday, February 22, 2021.  He was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana on November 3,1941. He graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School in 1959 and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech in 1964.  Joe married the love of his life, Sherry McConathy, in Jonesboro in 1963.
