The Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disability Centers is gathering assessment information and would appreciate feedback from citizens. The center focuses on supporting and assisting people create "the life they want to live." Support is provided for behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disability, substance abuse, crisis care, and justice involved services.
Voting delegates from Blanco County Farm Bureau traveled to San Antonio where they helped shape the future of Texas Farm Bureau during the 86th Annual Meeting. Representing Blanco County as voting delegates were: Bobby and Lauri Humphrey, Don and Ann Casey, Guy Anderson, Glenn Sultemeier, & Kenneth and Carolyn Moore, This is the state’s largest farm organization.

The 55th Annual ride is set to begin in Blanco on Jan. 31, with the 100-mile meandering adventure ending on Feb.

AUSTIN – Gas pumps across Texas will soon display new consumer information stickers to reflect the Fuel Metering and Quality Program’s new home: the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The new design has a Texas shape and includes information about the amount of state and federal taxes charged for every gallon of fuel sold, as well as a telephone number and a QR code that consumers can use to file a complaint with TDLR regarding the quality or quantity of fuel that was sold.
The Stonewall Heritage Society will meet on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. for its first program of the year. The meeting will be at St. Thomas Hall next to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stonewall, Texas. The program will be presented by the children of the Paul and Ida Pehl family and the trying times that they experienced in 1952 when six of the seven children contracted spinal polio and set a national record.

AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott last week convened the quarterly meeting of his Domestic Terrorism Task Force at the state Capitol.
"We must work together to develop meaningful solutions to fully eradicate domestic terrorism in the Lone Star State,” Abbott said in explaining the purpose of the meeting. "Just as domestic terrorism takes many forms, this task force is committed to developing comprehensive and evolving defense strategies to ensure a safe and secure future for every Texan,"
