The contract between Blanco County and Zuercher Technologies for the Sheriff’s Office computer aided dispatch system has been finalized and approved by county officials.

The Blanco-Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District held its monthly meeting Feb. 22, 2018,
General manager Ron Fieseler presented the district’s annual report. Discussion turned to the three monitored wells in the northern end of the county, the District well near the conservation building, Stone Ridge well and the Verizon substation well. Two of these wells are on the Ellenberger Aquifer, while the other is on the San Saba Formation.
This year Blanco County voters not only have a choice on what to vote for but also how they fill out their ballot.
This is the second election which utilizes the recently purchased ballot computers. The first being the constitutional amendment election last year. Voters may now choose whether they want to fill out a ballot by hand or by computer.
“They asked me if I wanted to do it the old way or the new way,” said one Blanco County voter Tuesday after casting their vote.
