The Lady Panther softball team lost a heartbreaker to the Boling Lady Bulldogs in the Area playoff game Thursday, May 3. The game was tied three times and went to an extra eighth inning before Boling pulled ahead to win 11-6.

During his first year as superintendent, Clay Rosenbaum has brought many positive changes to he district, the latest being the Blanco Education Foundation. The Blanco Education Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt public corporation that will be independent from BISD and will have its own board to generate and disburse funds generated from a variety of fund-raising activities.
Another year is winding down—banquets, final exams, end-of-year programs, graduation, and summer!!! As you reflect back on the year spent with Blanco ISD, I hope you recognize the academic gains that have been made, the life lessons that have been learned, and the strides our students have made in reaching their educational goals. The month of May greets us with more STAAR testing.
he Blanco High School National Honor Society held a ceremony for the 2018 inductees on Thursday, April 19. The 2017-2018 officers, President Mia Albrecht, Vice President David Struck and Secretary Sienna Buchenbacher conducted the candle-lighting ceremony and read descriptions of the requirements for NHS membership, including scholarship, service, leadership and character.
Parents and friends of the Blanco High School senior class filled Panther Stadium Friday night May 25, 2018, as the 69 members of the Class of 2018 received their HS diplomas. As the seniors entered the field, the Panther Band set the mood with a rendition of the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.” Opening remarks and prayer were presented by senior class secretary David Struck, with senior Wade Robinson leading the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Panther Band performi ...
District Championship
The Lady Panther softball team clinched the District 25 3-A championship with a 7-4 win over the Johnson City Lady Eagles on Tuesday, April 17 and a 13-9 win against the Florence Lady Buffalo on Friday, April 20. “I am proud of the team’s hard work throughout the year,” Coach Michael Seales said.
Blanco Middle School will have a new principal for the 2018-19 school year, as Brad Kinney arrives after serving one year as a vice principal at Bandera High School. Previously, Kinney was assistant principal, teacher and coach in the Comfort School District. During his tenure at Comfort, he became familiar with Blanco schools.
The Panther baseball team picked up two district wins this past week with a shutout victory over the Ingram Warriors on Monday, April 9 and an 8-3 win over the Lago Vista Vikings on Friday, April 13. Justin Wardlow was the winning pitcher against Ingram. Wardlow pitched a one-hitter. Griffin Johnson and Tyler LaRue each had two hits. Peyton Van Dyke was the winning pitcher in the Lago Vista game.
