Sharon Deann Jones passed away at her home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was born June 5, 1953, to Vintson Lee and Patsy Ketchersid Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Shani Bea Martin. Sharon has been a resident of Blanco County for more than 20 years and always considered it home.

Cola Mae Stovall, 91, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 7, 2017. She was born August 13, 1926 in Hollister, OK to Bill and Mary (McFall) Pritchard. Cola was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Clifford L. Stovall; two sons, Paul R.
Henry Michael "Hank" Kuentz, Jr. 84. passed away at his ranch in London, Texas on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Hank was born November 3, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from Brackenridge High School he pursued a career in electronics. Hank was hired by Philco Ford Electronic Communications and sent overseas to do classified government contracts. Hank moved to Blanco in 1969 and went to work for Data Point Electronics in San Antonio.
Thorvald “Thor” H. Olson, 92, passed away Oct. 30, 2017 in Humble, Texas. Thor was born in Quinnesec, Michigan on Nov. 22, 1924, to Thorvald H. Olson, Sr. and Mary Elder. He was preceded in death by his parents; his dear wife Arlene Lola Baker Olson; sister Bonnie; and brothers Dick and Damon. Thor is survived by his 5 children, 13 grandchildren and an ever-growing number of great grandchildren. Thor grew up in the difficult years of the American Depression.

Reva Renee Cicero, 61, passed away at her home Monday, November 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Renee was born in San Antonio, TX to Louis Malcolm and Reva Thompson Mobley. She was preceded in death by her father. Renee is survived by her loving husband, Ray Blue; mother, Reva Mobley McIntosh, son, Jeremy Cicero and wife Deidre and sons Brandon and Clayton Cicero; step-children, Heather and Rocky Blue; two brothers, Grady Mobley and wife Clara and Steven Mobley; grandchildren, Emmy J ...
Patricia Ann Tanner Percival, 84, passed away on October 23, 2017 at her home in Wimberley, Texas. Pat was born March 10, 1933, on the family farm in Katy, Texas. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, in Baytown, Texas, she pursued a career in modeling while attending college for Fashion Design. All who knew Pat were well aware of her sincerity, wisdom, compassion, talent and time for others.

Eugene N. Adams, 94, passed away Oct. 18, 2017, in Johnson City. He was born January 26, 1923, in San Antonio to James Franklin and Alma (Braun) Adams. In his early life, Eugene farmed and ranched in San Antonio until development demanded he move elsewhere. Blanco became Eugene’s next and final home where he resumed farming and ranching.

(Wild) Bill Pippen, the co-founder of Pippen–York, Inc. in Fredericksburg, Texas, and the founder of the Pippen Building at the Truth or Consequences Airport in New Mexico, sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Oct. 15, 2017, at the home he shared with his wife, Jane Pippen in New Mexico.He was born Dec.

CPOC Frank B. West, USN (RET), 94, passed away October 15, 2017 in Blanco, TX. Frank was born August 28, 1923 in Austin, TX to Henry Hiram West and Pearl Etta (Bagby) West. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Raye Jackson, Jewel Wynona Stewart, and Laura Hazel Price; and brother, Arthur Darrell “Tiny” West.
On Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, Charline Koeppen Read of Johnson City, Texas, went to be with the Lord. Charline was born in Brenham, Texas, to Edward and Dorothy Wuenscher Koeppen on Feb. 3, 1942. Charline is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Dorothy, brother Robert “Bobby” Koeppen and great-grandson Matthew Sedlachek. Charline is survived by husband George Clifton Read, daughters Deborah Sultemeier and husband Tommy, Sherry Conlon and husband Thomas L.
