Reuben Eugene Gray was born on June 24, 1931 in the Hill County, Texas to his mother and father, Audra Mae Lewis and Reuben Samuel Gray. He departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Dignity Senior Care in San Antonio, Texas. Reuben Eugene Gray always said he married at a young age to the most beautiful woman in the world, Vara Christine Ramey, and knew he was going to marry her the first time he ever laid eyes on her.
Rosie Lee Kunkel, 79, nee Lindig, of Johnson City and formerly of Stonewall, died Friday, April 13, 2018. Rosie was born May 2, 1938, the daughter of Eugene Andrew Lindig and Annie Pearl Schumann Lindig. She married Kurt Weinheimer on Dec. 22, 1957, in Trinity Lutheran Church, and after their divorce, she married Raymond Lee Kunkel on June 26, 1971.

Richard was born on September 11, 1939 and passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Richard was a resident of Kendall County, Texas at the time of passing. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1958-1962. Richard worked at Nasa for several years on the Apollo program and truly enjoyed the work.

Preston Otis Evans, age 84 of Spring Branch, passed away with family by his side at his home on Tuesday April 10, 2018. He was born on February 2, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas. Preston took pride in his work with Delta Electric of 20 years and Lambda Construction of 20 years.
1936-2018
Harold Dean Gann, 81, of Blanco, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Scott and White Hospital in Marble Falls, Texas. Harold was born on June 4, 1936 in Sinton, Texas, to Margaret Althea Bullock Gann. He was a retired chemist tech for Matheson Gas Products in California. Harold was a member of the Masonic Lodge #216 in Blanco.
Marguerite Ash, age 95, of Mexia, Texas, arrived in her heavenly home Feb. 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by John Lewis her husband of 69 years, her parents Oreb and Eula Loche, four siblings, a son Clyde Frankston Ash, and grandson Corey Lee Ash. Marguerite is survived by children Susie Johnson of Blanco, Texas, Gilbert (Gil) Ash and wife Annie of Groesbeck, Texas, John Ash and wife Yan Jun of Edmond, Okla.

Joe Neal Sawyer, World War II veteran, died at his home in Blanco, Sunday March 25, 2018. Mr. Sawyer was born on January 6, 1924 in Cherokee, Texas, to Ethel (Mayes) and William Claude Sawyer. He was a graduate of Cherokee High School and after graduation, entered the U.S. Army serving in the medical corp.

Morris August Lamb, Jr., 78, of Blanco, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his residence in Blanco. Morris was born on May 25, 1939, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gwendolyn Plashko Lamb and Morris August Lamb, Sr. Morris was a retired engineer who loved to build houses and tinker with cars.
Byron Michael Farley went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Austin, Texas. Mike lived at his beloved Madrone Vista in Blanco, Texas. He was born to C.A. and Mary Farley in Dimmit, Texas on November 24, 1941. Mike was a man with many interests, talents with a wonderful sense of humor.

Stephan Roy Penshorn, my beloved son, left way too soon on March 3, 2018. He was born on April 21, 1987, in Austin, Texas. He grew up in Blanco and attended Blanco schools and played little league, football and tennis growing up and participated in FFA. Later he played co-ed softball and would pick up a spot here and there on a bowling team.
