Blanco County Aggie Moms gathered at the RE/MAX Genesis offices on June 8 to draw the prize winners for our scholarship raffle fundraiser.
First prize of the Dyna-Glo grill was donated by Arney and Shannon Srackangast, and the winner is Carl Struck, just in time for Father’s Day. Second prize was 3 GameGuard shirts donated by K&C Supply, with Jennifer Baker was selected as the second prize winner.
PEC conducted a Circuit Lab for students as part of the Blanco Library’s Summer Reading Program series Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

As part of a 33-year effort to protect sensitive lands and improve water quality and wildlife habitat on private lands, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will resume accepting applications for the voluntary Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). Eligible farmers, ranchers, and private landowners can sign up at their local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office between June 4 and Aug.

On June 4, 2018, the City of Blanco imposed Stage 1 Water Restrictions to our customers as outlined in the approved Drought Management Plan. Abbott said Texas is getting resources ready and communication and response strategies together to protect families and property in the event of another hurricane. Abbott is encouraging Texans to prepare emergency supply kits, create communication plans, prepare homes for storms and heed warnings from local officials.
The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1 and will end on Nov.
