Christmas decorations are going up in houses, front yards and public places in Blanco. Everyone is busily preparing for the holiday celebrations, and that includes Santa Claus, himself.
Even with the limitations placed on everyone due to COVID-19, jolly ole Saint Nick has taken steps to make sure that all of Blanco has as a happy holiday season.

Active COVID-19 cases in Blanco County continue to climb.
A total of 56 active cases was reported Friday by the Blanco County Office of Emergency Management, a climb of 18 in a week and a half. The agency reported 38 active cases Nov. 18, 43 active cases on Nov. 21 and 48 active cases on Nov.
Even in the midst of the current health issues, the Blanco County Community Choir will continue the tradition of presenting Christmas concerts for the community in both Johnson City and Blanco.
Both concerts will be shorter than usual and presented outdoors.
In Johnson City on Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m., the choir will sing on the south steps of the Blanco County Courthouse.

The Blanco Commissioners Court meeting was called back to order at 9:01 a.m. Nov. 24 by Judge Brett Bray with all the commissioners present.
The minutes of the prior meetings were approved. There were no line item transfers at this time. Commissioner Chris Liesmann moved to approve the outstanding bills in the amount of $78,156.12 and Commissioner Emil Uecker seconded.
