Blanco’s 4-H club held a kick-off ice cream social Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 703 Main St. The club meets the third Sunday of each month.

Roses should be pruned or groomed in the first half of the month. Tea roses should be pruned some time in February.
When the call came into Blanco County EMS for support for Hurricane Harvey in advance of landfall, Chief Ben Oakley didn’t hesitate for a second.
