The Sept. 12, 2017 meeting of the governing body of Blanco began on the grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse. Prior to the regular meeting, Blanco’s K-9 Officer Maverick was sworn in, as dignitaries including three former mayors of Blanco, County Judge Brett Bray, County Sheriff Don Jackson, County Attorney Deborah Early, District Attorney Sonny McAfee, and Municipal Attorney Colleen Davis, plus members of the Blanco Police Department, city staff and community members looked on. ...
