Wills are difficult to write, but making the tough decisions you will always ease the burden off your family. Many families are torn up by children and spouses trying to decide what was it the person wishes or what is fair after someone is gone. Just because you may have told your children or your wishes after you are gone without a Will it can be contested.
Keep Blanco Beautiful (KBB) was formed in 2000 to educate and engage Blanco citizens to take responsibility for improving their community environment. The bylaws state that “the purpose of this organization shall be charitable and educational...to promote public interest in the general improvement of the environment of Blanco...”
At the end of January, Keep Blanco Beautiful held its first quarterly meeting of the year.

Police vests to be funded
Gov. Greg Abbott announced that Texas would provide police departments $23 million in grant funding for rifle-resistant vests. During the 85th Legislative Session, Abbott signed Senate Bill 12, authored by Sen. Royce West, D-Dallas, and Rep. Phil King, R-Weatherford.
The funding will provide law enforcement officers from 453 different jurisdictions around the state with some 32,842 rifle-resistant vests designed to protect against high-caliber rounds.

“This year, we saw more utilization of the Recycling Center,” Granberg said. “Every year it grows in use.”
Granberg noted that some of the commodities change in amount recycled and value, but overall utilization continues to increase year-over-year.
