Romans 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” This ONE was the Christ, the Son of God, who was obedient unto death. In the Gospels, Jesus referred to being obedient many times, because He did the will of our heavenly Father.
Philippians 3:8c-9 says "that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith." Where are you found? If you don't live to see tomorrow, will you be found in Christ and in His righteousness; or would you be found in your own righteousness?
One day a great lion lay asleep in the sunshine. A little mouse ran across his paw and wakened him. The great lion was just going to eat him up when the little mouse cried, "Oh, please, let me go, sir. Some day I may help you." The lion laughed at the thought that the little mouse could be of any use to him.
While looking at a painting of Jesus, done by a young girl named Akiane, entitled "Prince of Peace: The Resurrection," I considered standing before Him and a myriad of thoughts ran through my mind.
His eyes in this painting are piercing, and while His facial expression is very stern, I can see deep understanding with total confidentiality, immense comfort, wisdom, mercy, true friendship with long suffering, strength, beauty, perception, knowledge, youth and age all at the same time, and humblen ...
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The greatest gift giver Who has ever been, or ever will be, is God The Father. Every good and perfect gift comes from The Father of lights (Jam 1:17).

God knew that in a world full of overworked minds and bodies damaged by sin, our tendency as humans would be to further our own selfish interests at just about any cost. He knew we would need a regular opportunity for spiritual growth and to refocus on things of eternal importance.
This weekend was quite different from the norm. We were excited about Memorial Day weekend and our heavy schedule of events, and we count ourselves blessed that we made it home safely. We were out in the heavy rains, driving from Johnson City to Wimberley on Saturday, oblivious to the tornado warnings.
Our cell phone had not picked up a tornado warning; we just wanted to get home out of the rain, and the low water crossing one mile from our home prevented us from getting there!
A warrior came in from battle, he was bruised and battered, and his horse crippled. The king said to him, "Where have you been?" The warrior said, "Out fighting your enemies in the west. I've pillaged, and I've burned, and I've killed among your enemies in the west." The king replied, "But I don't have any enemies in the west."
