Three weeks ago I began to suffer from allergies, and it's still bothering me! I'll bet a lot of y'all are bothered also, but thankfully God gave us rain! The first night it began raining I was trying to sleep (while coughing my head off) and I turned on a humidifier to help my cough loosen, but I also had the air conditioner on, and it draws out the humidity, so the Lord put a little wisdom in my heart to turn off the a/c and open the window and let some of His natural moisture into the air!
Most of us have probably heard the slogan - "There are something's that money cannot buy, but for everything else there is MasterCard." The slogan is a seduction to the application of debt. The apostle John has something else in mind when he offers enrollment on the Master's Card, for with this card an unimaginable debt has been paid for all who are enrolled.
While serving as a missionary in Scotland in 1898, young David O. McKay and his companion walked by a building that caught their attention. It had a stone arch over the front door and an inscription chiseled in the arch. Elder McKay recalled:
"I said to my companion: 'That's unusual! I am going to see what the inscription is.' When I approached near enough, this message came to me, not only in stone, but as if it came from One in whose service we were engaged:

Several soon to be fathers were in a waiting room as their wives were delivering babies. One of the fathers received news that he had twins. What a coincidence, I play for the Minnesota Twins! Another father soon received news that he had triplets, that's amazing he said, "I work for the 3M company".
Our text is Ephesians 6:10-18. Vs. 11 says, "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (tricks) of the devil." In our previous three lessons, we have learned about the person of Satan; who he is; how he operates; and some steps we can take to resist Him, like taking our thoughts captive (2Cor 10:3-5) and submitting ourselves to God (Jam 4:7).
Our text is Ephesians 6:10-18. Vs. 11 says, "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (tricks) of the devil." The Christian has a real enemy, and is instructed by the Apostle Paul to put on God's full armor. To effectively defeat our enemy in spiritual battle, we must know our enemy, how he operates, and what power he does or does not have.
It was time to pack it up or throw it away. We were moving from El Paso to Blanco and I was delving into the darkest most remote recesses of the garage in an attempt at separating the wheat from the chaff. In so doing, I came across a dusty plastic bag filled with what appeared to be ashes.
Colossians 3:17- "17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Gratitude and thanksgiving are in my heart this weekend. Even though problems have come up, looking back they caused me to make decisions I wouldn't have made otherwise, and those decisions led me to where I am now, and for that I'm grateful!

Philippians 3:8c-9 says “that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” This week, we will go back over to the book of Romans to finish our current series on righteousness.
