    The Mason Band Boosters would like to request the honor of your attendance at the 59th Annual Queen’s Coronation. It will be held on Saturday, November 5th at the Fort Mason Park Community Building. The doors will open at 7:00 and the event will start at 7:30 p.m.
    The Cowgirls and Punchers held the District 27AA cross country meet at the City Park this past Wednesday. We would like to thank the golf course members for closing the golf course for us to run, the city, the school faculty, parents, the band boosters and all of the volunteers who came out to help put on the meet.
    The start of the second six weeks began with studies in Texas History and art. The staff is getting an education, too. Teachers and administrators have been receiving training in different areas over the last month.     The Friends of Doss had their monthly meeting Monday October 10.

    7th vs. Glenn Junior High     The 7th grade Punchers played a tough game against Glenn Junior High. Unfortunaetly they ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard. We made some good catches and had some decent runs but we could never quite get anything put together.
    The JV White team played Wall for a third consecutive time last week.     They played hard and continued to progress and get better. The Punchers fell to the Wall Hawks 21-0. It was a hard fought game and they lost to a good Wall team.
    Third grade students at Mason ISD put seeds in the ground this week. Students successfully met the requirements for “GROW” in the Learn, Grow, Eat and Go program. Mason ISD students, parents and faculty began their competition to meet the requirements for “GO” by starting the Walk Across Texas program.     Mason Building Supply donated seeds including carrots, radishes, lettuce, kale, spinach, squash and others for the students to plant.
    There had been some talk last week that indicated Bracketville might pose a challenge this season in our district. While that may yet be true for their future opponents, for Mason, the Punchers were able to easily tame the Tigers during Friday night's meeting.     After a dramatic delivery of the game ball via a Life Flight helicopter to start off the game, the Punchers set out to take control of the game quickly.     Just three minutes into the game, Haddon Hu ...
   The Mighty Mason Puncher Band will be attending the UIL Region 32 Marching Contest this Saturday, October 22nd. It will be held at Gupton Stadium in Cedar Park. Tickets will be $5 per person at the gate.    The band will be the 2nd band to perform at the contest and will play at 1:15 with their rating announced at 2:15.    The band’s show this year is the music of Bon Jovi, including “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “It’s My Life”, “Always”, “Bed of Ros ...
